The Journey of going free and lance

After not being able to write for months now I realize that blogging actually takes a lot of determination. It is not only the time issue but dedication of sharing your every moment with world. Actually once you make it a habit, it becomes part of your life and need. If you start a new journey like I did and go with the current you might find yourself not touching your blog for ages.

Anyway here I am ready to share what has been happening in my life. In March I have decided to take a radical move and quit my job. The reason can be categorised as common or personal, its up to you. Being a woman in the IT world, especially being a woman as a programmer in IT world can be tough. People look at you with the eyes of “oh not so many potential” or “you might brake your nails when you are tying hon”. So in my previous company I had to work with this very small, young and determined boys who never worked with a woman in fact I figured it out they were not comfortable with my presence    at all. Whereas my expectation of working with a small team was intimacy and friendship. Being able to a team and making decision as being part of a team.

The treatment I received was complete opposite. I did not get good mornings, have a good days, “hey are you up for a beers” or “what do you thing about this, should we do it like thats”. I have received emails from the guy who sits 1 meter away from me saying “Do this job..” instead of turning and having a one simple sentence with me.

Do not put this into the emotional scene in a professional life. I simply wanted to be treated as a professional and a person who deserved to put an opinion about the workflow. After couple of months expecting for a change, I have given up and said myself I am done with this.

Now I am trying to stood on my feet as a freelance web developer who is trying to make a living. Recently I have launched my portfolio site hoping it would be handy at one point. Suddenly someone from past can make you cry

I am at work on Friday. It is just after lunch time. Every possible condition that I am in is screaming at me right now to sweep everything on the table with the back of my hand, crawl on the table and go to sleep in a fetus position. Let me think again… Yes yes the idea is becoming more and more charming in every second.

unusually it is a quite Friday, not the ones that I have to hit my head on my computer ‘s screen and worry about, how will I finish all these work by the end of that day.

Let me tell you something. One of the most dangerous moment in a woman’s life is being drunk in the miserable times of our lives and the second most dangerous is being bored and tired and don’t have anything better to do.

Welcome Back

Happy new year everyone! It has been a while that I actually posted anything. But it is indeed nice to be back.

I always find the beginning of a new year quite though. It is not because of the outside conditions but the enforcement of personal rules. Almost everyone expects from a new year to bring a miracle to their life. A change, a chance maybe a little bit good luck in some aspects. Some people puts resolutions to push the limits and try to make their own change in their life.Although trying to change your life in a good direction is something admirable, I cannot help to think that it can be quite tricky. When the ticking clock moves from 00 to 01 I will change this in my life paradigm.

I have seen this lovely post on Candy Chang’s blog and I absolutely loved it. The title may look scary to you but think about it. Never give up on your “Dreams”!

This is one cliché quote, people are keep repeating nowadays. We see inspirational stories, images, illustrations on the social media. We give them thumbs up, leave comments and even share them to inspire other people whose around us.The unseen cobweb that surround us, bring us people’s life, desires and thoughts. My main question is how many people actually take action to reach out their dream after they click a random button on their screen. Do they feel suddenly inspired? Their life-point suddenly turns over and they realize that they are more determine than ever?

Fifty Shades of Grey; PERSONAL review

 

Ok after I put the title, I wrote a paragraph something sensible about this book, then I had to delete it and start all over again. You know what… It is not working. As you may guess I was quite judgmental when I started to this book, but there was a small hope that I could still find some small literature in it to enjoy at least to get my money back in some aspects. Because I saw so many example in the past that I loved some books and find amusing things in it despite from other people’s bitching and banging.

Many people would wish to beat other people’s opinion deep down inside and argue against all those voices sometimes. However this time I am joining to the crowded team and want to scream “HOW COME SOMEONE ENJOY TO HAVE SEX THIS MUCH AND IN THIS LEVEL??!!”.

Fifty Shades of Gray about to be read

 

Last week I went this stand-up show in Roppongi. They call themselves Tokyo Comedy Club. Although, the place was very hidden thus I missed the first half an hour of the show when I was trying to find the place, the rest of the show was hilarious.

There was one guy especially made me laugh really hard. At one point I could not find my breath and had to choke, thankfully my friend was sitting next to me and was better shape then I was, saved my life with a sharp elbow action on my back.

Anyway, at one point this guy was making fun of a book named “Fifty shades of Gray”. I did not read the book but knew the concept somehow. Hey who would not be interested with sexual content books.

But better part of the story is (what guy was also highlighting) this book read by woman(something like 9 out of 10) than men. he was saying in London Metro you can bump into middle aged woman reading this book and sweating pretty bad and can not dare to get off from the train. Of course today when I went to the book store, I could not stop myself buying this book when I saw it on the self. It’s not that I need extra sexual concept book to push my fantasies. It was simply curiosity… I swear :/

Underbelly: Badness; has to be on your must watch list

Underbelly Badness is an Australian TV series based on real events that occurred between 2001 and 2011. Do not worry it is not an 100+ episode series that goes on forever and sabotage your daily life routine. It has 8 episode, full on mini series and once it is finished you are feeling tears in your eyes and begging for more.

I have finished the last episode yesterday and had to replay the last 20 minutes of it again because, I could not face the reality that it actually ended so quickly. If you have not heard underbelly before let me give you quick summary. Underbelly series are complete 5 season and every season tells different events basen on gangland world in Australia. As you can guess the drug, murder, woman, guns and games are the main subjects. But what actually fascinates me is that most of those events still happens, you can actually go to an internet site and look at the real person in the movie and read the news about real events. I am still thinking the first season was the best but definitely others are as addictive as the first one and you won’t be disappointed for your time.

ok back to underbelly badness… I am going to take this part from wiki because if I tried to give what is the current series about, you might want to throw eggs on me because I gave so many spoiler for later on.

The current season of Underbelly depicts the criminal activities of recently convicted Australian kidnapper, murderer and drug-dealerAnthony “Rooster” Perish’s criminal activities around the Sydney suburb of Lindfield and adjacent areas and how the New South Wales Police ‘Strike Force Tuno’ finally apprehended him after almost a decade of intensive surveillance and informant information.

Anthony “Rooster” Perish would never have been caught if it was not for the dedication and perserverance of New South Wales police officer Det. Insp. Gary Jubelin. The series covers the scope and breadth of homicide, kidnapping, firearm offences and drug dealing committed under the direction of Anthony Perish, his brother Andrew Perish, various other criminal associates and several criminal Australian “motorcycle clubs.”
